Our Services at NDF Inc.
At NDF Inc., we are committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, with a special focus on African populations in Australia. Our holistic approach is grounded in respect, cultural sensitivity, and empowerment. We offer five specialized services designed to foster connection, understanding, and support tailored to the unique needs of our communities.
Crisis Line Service
Mental health crises can be overwhelming and isolating, particularly for individuals navigating language and cultural barriers. At NDF Inc., our 24/7 Crisis Line service provides immediate, compassionate support to people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities who are experiencing mental health emergencies or distress. Our team is made up of trained, culturally competent professionals who understand the unique challenges faced by diverse populations. They are dedicated to offering assistance that is respectful, confidential, and tailored to each caller’s cultural background.
This vital service helps bridge the gap between moments of crisis and access to ongoing care, providing a safe space for individuals to be heard, supported, and guided towards appropriate resources and solutions.
Currently, this service is offered exclusively to our partner organisations in Adelaide, South Australia, specifically serving the Zimbabwean community through collaborations with Zimbabwe Associations. We are actively working to expand the Crisis Line to serve a wider population across Australia, so that anyone in need from CALD backgrounds can access this lifeline.
We invite you to stay connected with us as we work towards this expansion—updates on availability, times, and how to access the service will be shared soon. Your mental health matters, and help is always within reach.
